Before you schedule your appointment

  • We suggest you don’t sign or date the document (some documents must be signed and dated in the presence of a Notary)
  • Make sure you have all the pages of the document(s), not just the signature page.
  • Make sure all document signers have an acceptable form of ID.

$25.00 per electronic notarial act performed and sealed. Fees vary for multi-document and multi-signers.

Travel fee $35 plus the standard notary fee. Pricing for Mobile Notary appointments is subject to change based on travel distance. Certain services may qualify for flat fee rates. Please call or email for current fees.

Notary Signing Agent (Real Estate Loan Signings)
$125 – Standard Refi w/Edocs
Refinance, conventional, FHA, VA, home equity, reverse mortgage loans, investment properties, line of credit, seller side signings, E-Signings, and other real estate documents.

Virginia law prohibits Notaries from accepting monies at closings unless the Notary holds an escrow license and is CRESPA certified. I am not CRESPA certified and do not hold an escrow license.

 The Code of Virginia specifies five basic notarial acts:

  • Taking acknowledgments
  • Administering oaths and affirmations
  • Certifying affidavits or depositions
  • Certifying “true copies” of documents
  • Verification of fact

List of acceptable documents required before we notarize a document. 

  • United States Passport
  • United States Passport Card
  • Certificate of United States Citizenship
  • Certificate of Naturalization
  • Foreign Passport
  • United States Green Card with Photograph
  • State Issued Driver’s License
  • State Issued Identification Card
  • United States Military Identification Card
  • Exception – The signer is personally known, which means familiarity with an individual resulting from interactions with that individual over a period of time sufficient to eliminate every reasonable doubt that the individual has the identity claimed.

**Virginia notaries are NOT authorized to certify true copies of birth, death, or marriage certificates. Only the Division of Vital Records/Statistics may perform such a certification. Virginia notaries are not authorized to certify true copies of court issued documents. Virginia notaries are not authorized to perform marriage ceremonies.**

Note: A Virginia notary may refuse to notarize a document for any reason.

You must submit all requests for a cancellation refund in writing 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the appointment time will not be refunded.
